I’m Daniel Cole, the founder of Social Photography — a community built around connection, creativity, and the simple joy of capturing life through a lens.
I started Social Photography to bring people together through a shared love of photography — not just to learn, but to belong. After years of seeing how creativity can lift people out of isolation, I wanted to create a space where anyone, at any level, could feel welcome, supported, and inspired to grow.
From relaxed photowalks to hands-on workshops, Social Photography is about learning, laughing, and building confidence together — one photo at a time.

Very nice and insightful events. Daniel is a great photographer, full of knowledge he is always keen to share, and he knows how to make you feel included in the group.

I have done a couple of photo walks with Dan around Cambridge. His enthusiasm for photography is infectious and that results in a really enjoyable and informative couple of hours. I would thoroughly recommend Social Photography.

A nice mixture of informal and yet structured. The tips for starting point composition / settings was really useful, and in the style that meant we could also experiment and bring our own take on it. Gave me a taste for subject material on which I can build. Also was nice to chat photography with like minded people in a relaxed setting, there was no competition or rivalry, everyone trying to help each other.
